Win the Grand Designs underground Cheltenham House

Tim and Zoe Bawtree built an innovative underground ecological family house in Cheltenham as part of the UK Channel 4 programme, Grand Designs. The original development saw the couple extend their home by 60% underneath their back garden, creating their dream three-bedroom eco-home in the process.

Only six months after completing the project costing some £344,000, the Bawtrees have opted to run a win a house competition to give away the property to one person. Just like the Oldborough Retreat competition, they are hoping to sell £25 tickets to players, who are also required to answer a simple question online on the Cheltenham Cup.

The Cheltenham House, which carries and estimated value of £745,000, will be given away if the couple manage to sell all 49,000 tickets they are targeting. 10% of each ticket will be donated to charity Teenage Cancer Trust, helping potentially raise a total of £115,000 in the process.
