Win Grand Designs Cheltenham House

Win the Cheltenham HouseWin the award-winning eco-home featured in Channel 4's Grand Designs show in Cheltenham (UK), which saw British couple Tim and Zoe Bawtree extend their home by 60% underneath their back garden.


The Bawtrees are hoping to give away their £745,000 three-bedroom family home by selling up to 49,000 tickets at £25 each. The top prize is valued at a total of £850,000.

In order to win the property, players originally needed to answer a simple question on the Cheltenham Cup. However the competition was re-launched as a "Spot the Frisbee" game were players are required to use their skill and judgement by clicking a photo where a frisbee has been digitally erased. The player that designates the coordinates that are closest to the judges' coordinates wins the top prize.

Competition Winner

A total of 5,706 tickets were sold by the end of the competition, which fell below the reserve amount set by the Bawtrees. The winner's details were announced at the start of April 2009.

38-year old Christine Evelen from London was delighted to hear that she had won the top prize of £83,000. In addition, a total of £14,500 was donated to charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Cheltenham House competition was relaunched in June 2009 as Pixahome.com.
